SOTERIA CONSULTANTS is a foremost and leading construction economists firm in Nigeria.The Firm was established in 1993 to carryout the normal quantity surveying and cost consultancy work in Nigeria. Over the years there has been a considerable expansion in its area of operation in response to the dynamic environment of the construction industry. The Firm has therefore being involved in construction and project management, negotiation of turn key projects, arbitration and conflict resolution in the construction industry, and reinstatement cost valuation for insurance purposes.

We have had varied clientele ranging from private individuals, private companies, public liability companies, educational establishments, Federal and State governments parastatals.
Our project spread has also covered a very large part of the country.

The Firm has been involved in maintaining a consistent policy of providing training opportunities for young entrants into the profession. Every year we accept student trainees from the Universities and Polytechnics.

WORK PLAN

PROJECT PREPARATION

We intend to ensure that a comprehensive feasibility study is carried-out to determine the relevance, financial and economic benefits that may be enjoyed by the users before any project is embarkedupon. Not only this, we will equally see that the pre-contract cost planning is comprehensive enough to include the Initial Capital, Running Cost and maintenance cost so that the user may have the global perception of what the project will take.
Another area that will engage our attention is the design process. We will lease with the project consultants to ensure that a comprehensive working drawing of chosen design and complete Tender documents are in place before Tendering process begins.

PRE-QUALIFICATION/TENDERING PROCESS

This is another area we shall focus our attention during the pre-contract period. We shall liase with the consultants on the project to ensure that there is pre-qualification exercise where contractors can be assessed and capable ones are called to tender for the project. When this is achieved, we shall make sure that there is transparency in the selection process and also ensure that the allotted time for Tender evaluation and writing of report are adhered to while equally ensuring that the final recommendation as to who get the contract is in accordance with the laid down guide line

POST-CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

It is our duty after the award had been made to monitor the post contract administration. We are to ensure that effective post contract cost control is adopted by the consultants on the project. All variation and fluctuation claims evaluation must follow the laid-down rule.
